Reflector Project exists because the world needs Hopeful Theology

We articulate worldview, and theology that calls out the best in your faith and worldview.

Our aim is to help move forward in hope rather than fear, in company with others rather than division.

At Reflector Project we seek to demonstrate a Christian faith that is positive and hopeful.

We are convinced that we can be of great help for those who:

  • Hope for a faith that is positive rather than fearful

  • Value Christian faith, but part company with much of what is called “Christian” in society

  • Know that faith is more loving and hopeful than how Christian faith is often presented, but don’t know how to articulate such hope

  • Want to love all others and have a hopeful view because of, not in spite of, your faith

  • To identify how the light of Christ is reflected in the world. Our bearing witness includes helping others to see how they themselves bear witness, including those who do not believe what we believe.

  • Moving beyond fearful expressions of faith means that we are called to re-learn important concepts such as salvation, judgment, grace, and love according to the gospel of the renewal of all things.

  • We are aware that what others have to say is at least as important as what we have to say. Through interviews and conversations we collaborate with others seeking to demonstrate hope in the world.

Our name, Reflector Project, comes from the theological concept that Jesus is the fullness of God’s love and light. We can see such light reflected in all people and we are all invited to reflect such love and light.

Rector’s Cupboard

Moving towards hope instead of fear.

Rector’s Cupboard is a podcast produced by Reflector Project, recorded in studio or at various locations around the Lower Mainland. On Rector’s Cupboard we invite people to share their stories and discuss views on topics related to contemporary faith and culture. The lively and casual conversation wrestles with how to hold hope over fear and see the humanity of others that is inclusive rather than divisive in the world today.

Evangelically Departed

Evangelically Departed is a newsletter by our Director, Todd Wiebe, touching on the realities of harmful learned experiences within faith communities. These writings are a light-hearted exploration of hope-filled responses and new perspectives on theology.

Theology in Pieces

Theology in Pieces is a series of short videos in which our Director, Todd Wiebe, highlights topics of theology, history, and faith traditions, and brings highlights how religious underpinnings have had impacts on current issues of faith and humanity.

Gatherings

Our gatherings are a chance to meet together, to see one another, and to socialize with others. Everyone is welcome.

Reflector Project community meets together in mid-week Home Groups and monthly Sunday Evening Gatherings in North Vancouver. Additional events are held throughout the year in different locations around the Lower Mainland on matters such as mental health, spirituality, and culture.

Support the work of Reflector Project

There is a positive, hopeful and future oriented way of understanding Christian faith.

Many evangelical Christians have wrestled with the sense that our faith can be seen as divisive and fearful. While we have been richly blessed by the church and people in the church, we see that there is a more hopeful way of understanding Christian theology and living out this faith. Our work at Reflector Project is to show this.

This work is funded through the support of donors. If you'd like to donate, please click on the button below. (You will be directed to Kindful- Together Instead Christian Community Association).
