Tasting Room Theology: A Short History of Evangelicalism

Evangelical Christianity has had an enormous impact on the world – religion, politics and culture. While evangelical beliefs and practices may be understood as “traditional”, they are, in fact, a recent innovation in religious faith and practice that came to define a large segment of Christianity in the world.

At this evening gathering, Todd Wiebe will present a sketch of the history of evangelicalism. Where did it come from? What were the major points of emphasis? Where might it be headed?

The historical sketch will include personal reflection on Todd’s vocational and faith experience in the evangelical church.
